Sygnum Bank AG is hiring a
Web3 Strategic Project Manager - CEO Office

Compensation: $58k - $80k *

Location: Zürich Switzerland

Sygnum is the world’s first digital asset bank, founded on Swiss and Singapore heritage, operating globally. We make digital assets bankable, secure and convenient, empowering clients to invest in the digital asset economy with complete trust.

We are a young and dynamic company that is shaping future finance. With a strong team of around 160 people, based in both Zurich as well as Singapore, we are at the interface of technology and finance, with deep expertise in Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and its applications such as blockchain technology, and a strong focus on digital assets.

As we are strongly growing, we are looking to enhance our team in the CEO Office with a smart mind that tackles challenges with both hands.

Tasks

About the position

  • The CEO Office supports the Group CEO in his tasks and ensures smooth operations across the entire company, as well as its further development and growth.
  • As a Strategic Project Manager, you are responsible to manage projects and strategic initiatives and drive them to success. These projects can either be within the CEO Office, e.g. internationalization, or at the intersection with other departments, e.g. roll-out of customer centricity initiatives, entering new customer segments, or helping with the budgeting process, to name some examples.
  • The CEO Office today consists of four employees: the Chief of Staff (ex Bain), a Senior Strategic Project Manager (ex BCG), an Office Manager, as well as an intern. Additionally, also the Investor Relations team is part of the CEO Office and it can be that we help on that front as well if needed. In this position, you report into the Chief of Staff, who reports into the Group CEO.

Requirements

  • You drive projects independently with lots of energy and passion, so that we can steer several strategic projects and initiatives in parallel. This includes stakeholder management up to the C-level or Board of Directors, as well as across the entire company and the different departments.
  • You should be able to draw your analysis and arguments in a structured way, and present them in an understandable fashion, using common tools such as the Microstof Office suite.
  • You graduated with a Bachelor or Master (including MBA) degree from a reputable university in either a business or technical field, and have gained about 2-4 years of working experience in either a top tier strategy consulting firm or investment banking/ finance.
  • You embrace ambiguity, a changing environment with frequent new tasks as well as a job profile that can change over time (and potentially lead to another role within Sygnum in the future). We are a young and strongly growing company in one of the fastest paced industries at the moment. Therefore, it is hard to predict what exactly this job will look like in one year from now. We want to recruit a person that feels comfortable with this and is actually looking for such a dynamic job opportunity.
  • Be willing to learn fast: We do not expect you to have ten years of experience in a field that exists for five. However, we expect you to quickly deep dive into a topic and build expertise by learning from others or by yourself.
  • Last but not least, have a passion for digital assets. Digital assets are Sygnum’s daily business. We expect you to have an affinity to this topic and share our vision of future finance.

Benefits

  • You will be a team member from day one. As in every startup, there are more tasks than people. So, you will be treated as a full team member who contributes to the success of Sygnum, and not as an intern who serves coffee.
  • You work on things that matter. There is no time to do things that are not relevant. Consequently, your contribution will have a significant impact on Sygnum as a company.
  • You will be surrounded by smart people. We are a small company, but this does not mean that you will not be exposed to many people. We are passionate about what we do. Many of us have deep experience in this nascent industry, and so do our clients. There are plenty of things that you can learn from them. This is inspiring to us – hopefully also to you.
  • A dynamic environment with short decision ways. Our goal as a company is to stand out from aged corporate structures. We work in a fast-paced environment with many exiting changes happening every day.
  • You can write the history of Finance 2.0. As we are at the forefront of blockchain and future finance, you will be exposed to all the trends in this space. And as Peter Drucker used to say: “The best way to predict the future is to create it”.
