Web3 Senior Software Engineer [Solidity]

Compensation: $80k - $160k

Location: Liechtenstein

Celestia Labs is seeking a remote full-time Senior Software Engineer with Solidity expertise to help build a novel settlement layer on top of Celestia. You will be developing a version of the EVM specialized for rollup settlement. This job is an opportunity to build on the frontier of blockchain scaling and a chance to work alongside an exceptional engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute readable, well-tested, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in technical discussions on issues and code reviews on pull requests
  • Own and be a part of the feedback loop between technical specification and implementation.
  • Support in management and training of junior engineers.
  • Coordinate between various stakeholders and external contributors to iterate on technical design and implementation
  • Design, build, and maintain Cevmos, an open, modular stack for EVM-based applications utilizing Celestia rollups (read more here)

Who You Are

  • You have 4 years of experience with Go, Rust, C++, or other systems languages.
  • Solid experience with solidity and curiosity or knowledge about the inner workings of the EVM.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have experience with building maintainable and documented codebases.
  • You have proven skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving. You have taken multiple software products from ideation, through design and development, shipping to users, and iterating based on feedback or bugs.
  • Bonus: You have experience managing teams.
  • Bonus: You have experience building in the web3 space and have built dApps in the past.
  • 3+ years experience managing teams
  • Bonus: You have Ethereum experience and have built dApps in the past

Nice to Haves

  • Live within the timezones UTC-5:00 (US Eastern Time) and UTC+5:00 (Central Asia)
  • Previous remote work experience
  • Familiarity with L1 blockchain protocol design or rollups
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience and are excited by web3.
