Web3 Infrastructure Engineer

Compensation: $54k - $90k *

Location: New York, Bay Area or Remote

The goal is to accelerate the engineering lifecycle and reliability of OpenSea by utilizing necessary tools and driving platform improvements . As an infrastructure engineer, you will reimagine how our company builds and deploys our marketplace as well as how we use data to make decisions, then improve our product and infrastructure to enable that new approach.

Responsibilities - Build out scalable backend infrastructure for a cloud environment. - Find and pursue opportunities for higher stability, efficiency and cost effectiveness. - Build out incident management program and best practices. - Drive requirements for and own large components of our backend system: requirements, implementation, testing and launch.

Desired Experience - Experience in large-scale cloud systems design and engineering. - Experience in designing and building highly available distributed applications. - An ability to write high quality, well tested code. - Strong network background including global routing and load balancing experience. - Expert knowledge of AWS. - Excellent skills in communicating complex issues to an audience outside the infra domain, and championing strategies to key stakeholders. - Bonus points for experience in the following: Globally distributed data storage engines, multiple cloud service providers, log collection tools and analysis, configuration management toolsets, infrastructure performance monitoring tools and optimization practices, or CDN implementation and optimization.
