Web3 CRM BI Analyst

Location: Singapore, Central, Singapore

Purpose of the Role:

As a CRM Data Analyst, you will join a fresh and expanding team of data analysts which acts as a key consultant for all data questions throughout the business. You will be a main contributor to create a data-driven environment for industry-leading research, BI, CRM, growth marketing and brand communication. The team continuously drives our brand forward through experimentation and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Therefore you will interact with stakeholders from the marketing, sales and product teams, and will be the contact person for them with regards to data, strategy, visualisation and analytics related questions. Your experience with CRM analytics and related technologies, together with your communication and organizational skills will have a big impact on the company’s performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the platform, products and external data sources and provide detailed insights into our business performance to enable data-driven strategic decision making.
  • Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders from CRM and marketing and translate their business questions into meaningful analytics - combining marketing and technical understanding.
  • Working across creating ad-hoc insights, reporting & visualisation, forecasting, streamlining analysis processes and setting up and maintaining the reporting and CRM data analytics landscape.
  • Analyse business unit requirements and support translating them into dashboards / KPIs.
  • Utilising various databases and querying/programming languages to access, manipulate and present the data needed.
  • Discussing the results of your work to stakeholders of all seniority.
  • Collaborating and sharing knowledge with other analysts.
  • Contribute to the company’s data strategy by designing, deploying, and operating data infrastructure.
  • Responsible for modelling, building and maintaining our data warehouse ensuring high quality data and effective data pipelines.
  • Drive data quality and governance, and monitoring standards to ensure data is correct, consistent and reliable.
  • Promote data analytics awareness across the company and create educational content to share data insights best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience as a Data or BI Analyst in fast-paced and dynamic environments
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject with a proven track record in data - e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering
  • Proven track to transform large amounts of complex data into insights by leading the end-to-end creation of intuitive data products
  • Expert in querying and manipulating data sets using SQL and Python and visualisation tools like Tableau, Looker (or similar tools)
  • Comfort with ambiguity and translating abstract business questions into actionable insights and high impact data products
  • Experience in business units such as Commercial / Sales or Retail
  • Self-starter who thrives under a high level of autonomy
  • Team player and focus on bringing the best out of your team
  • Experience with big data tools (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Positive thinking, fun on the job

Bonus

  • Knowledge in crypto and crypto trading
  • Working experience in eCommerce
  • Advanced understanding of PostgreSQL at all levels from having read some of the C source to multi-source logical replication; extra bonus if you’ve used Postgres in a relational manner at 10TB+ scale with tables at 50bn+ rows.
  • Normalised a schema of over 500 tables.
  • Formal training in computer science, abstract mathematics or statistics.
  • Interest in modern DevOps developments (including Nix).
  • Experience with low latency, parallelism or concurrency.
  • FOSS contributions.
  • Intuitive understanding of options, up to second or third order greeks e.g. explain vega convexity to people with no financial background.
  • Sufficient machine learning experience to appreciate simpler deterministic approaches.
  • You’ve used higher kinded types in any language (especially in Haskell/Mercury/Idris, OCaml/SML, Scala…).
  • Comfortable with APL family languages (APL, J, NumPy, K, q...).
  • You've read/heard about: Edgar Codd, Chris Date, Johns Backus and McCarthy, Claude Shannon, Alonso Church…
  • You’ve thought about opening TAOCP.
  • In love with documentation, BPMN rings a bell.
