Enterprise Risk Management Manager / Team Leader

Summary:

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Manager / Team Leader will be responsible for assisting the Compliance Officer with implementing and supporting the Company's ERM program including:

  • ERM Framework and Methodology;
  • Corporate Governance and Standards;
  • Business Continuity and Planning;
  • Third Party Risk Management;
  • Model Risk Management; and
  • Operational Risk.

Responsibilities

The employee will be responsible for partnering developing and implementing the ERM Framework as well as partnering with impacted business units to ensure that ERM programs function as intended. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Drafting and implementing ERM Framework and associated ERM methodology, policies, and procedures;
  • Overseeing the ERM Framework within the organization;
  • Clarifying roles and responsibilities under the ERM Framework;
  • Identifying Risks;
  • Establishing the Company’s Risk appetite or tolerances;
  • Prioritizing Risks;
  • Developing Risk Mitigation Plans;
  • Completing any ERM related red flag development, gap analysis, risk assessments;
  • Establishing consistency and standards across the organization with documentation and risk behaviors;
  • Training and mentoring any staff on ERM regulatory requirements and best practices;
  • Documenting, tracking and reporting any incidents to Compliance Officer;
  • Manages tracking systems and assists with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics; and
  • Support Compliance Officer with team management.

Covered areas of Responsibilities from an ERM perspective to include, but are not limited to:

  • Corporate Governance and Standard;
  • Business Continuity and Planning;
  • Third Party Risk Management;
  • Model Risk Management;
  • Operational Risk; and
  • Support international compliance efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field;
  • Four or more years of ERM related experience;
  • Excellent oral, written, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and rules impacting the financial services and crypto currency industries;
  • Sound understanding of compliance and operational risks and internal control frameworks;
  • Strong analytical / research skills coupled with ability to effectively summarize findings in a succinct and organized manner;
  • Ability to grasp complex processes quickly and be able to identify risks and compensating controls;
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and results oriented; able to make decisions independently; and
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
