Polymer Labs is hiring a
Junior Smart Contract Engineer (web3)

Compensation: $80k - $120k

Location: Denmark

About the role

You will be joining our smart contract engineering team. You will apply your previous experience and foundation in computer science to implementing various decentralized applications. *Web3 and blockchain experience is explicitly not required. *

You will

  • Write smart contracts in Solidity, Rust and other languages.
  • Deploy and test applications across multiple blockchains.
  • Be opinionated and influence application design over time as you gain experience.
  • Apply fundamental knowledge in mathematics and CS to the design and implementation of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

What you will achieve

In the first month, you will build a deep understanding of Polymer Lab’s core protocol and begin contributing to the product. You will have time to learn about the space, our customer’s needs, and the underlying technology.
Within 3 months, you will have bootstrapped your knowledge base and will be actively contributing to the core application protocols on various block chains.

You have

  • The ability to collaboratively contribute to projects from inception to delivery (i.e. plan and gather requirements).
  • A flexible, collaborative working >
  • Strong foundation in CS fundamentals (data structures and algorithms).
  • Strong foundation in mathematics (some of the applications we're building require a solid base in mathematics to reason about the code and implementation).

About the team

The engineering team is a diverse group of people with backgrounds working at a variety of both web2 and web3 organizations like Uber, Chronosphere, BadgerDAO and Bancor etc. Polymer Labs is a software development shop supporting the Polymer protocol and associated products which will be managed by Polymer DAO (decentralized autonomous organization).
