MIRA is hiring a Web3 Lead Smart Contract Engineer
Compensation: $100k - $180k
Location: New York New York United States
Do you want to work at a startup which operates at the intersection of fine art, computer vision, and crypto?
Do you want the opportunity to learn from and work alongside CalTech PhDs and Sotheby's VPs?
Do you want to build infrastructure that is changing the way the world tracks and organizes its most valuable physical objects?
MIRA’s mission is to eradicate fraud across the world of fine art. The existence of forged artwork, antiquities, and precious collectibles creates substantial friction throughout the art market - generating immense cost, risk, and anxiety for collectors, artists, and auction houses.
With Sotheby’s as a trusted advisor, the MIRA team has developed a deep learning algorithm capable of generating a digital fingerprint that can be used to re-identify unique, authenticated works of art over time. In 2021, we developed an NFT-based storage solution for these fingerprints which can move alongside the physical work, providing the work itself and its owner with an additional layer of security. This is just the beginning: we see infinite possibilities for integrating our fingerprinting technology with NFTs and decentralized networks.
The MIRA team is looking to hire an enthusiastic and self-motivated full-time smart contract developer to design and develop the next iterations of our smart contracts.
MIRA is backed by Kleiner Perkins, Coinbase Ventures, and Sotheby’s. Contact [email protected] with interest.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement the next iterations of our NFT product, associated smart contracts, and data storage approach
- Translate the unique and often complex business requirements of the fine art world into technical requirements
- Stay up to date on best practices and new developments across NFT-based protocols, as well as blockchain scaling, cross-chain interoperability, and privacy solutions
- Conduct internal audits of our code, ensuring code is up to standard with industry security best practices and manage external audit processes
Requirements
- Experience writing production Solidity smart contracts and comprehensive tests
- Enthusiasm and excitement for leading the way in integrating the worlds of fine art and cutting edge technology
- Passion for and deep understanding of blockchain technology, Ethereum, and decentralized applications
