Web3 Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy

Compensation: $70k - $100k *

DFINITY not-for-profit organization, developing technology for the Internet Computer blockchain. The Internet Computer is a public blockchain and a novel technology stack that is unhackable, fast, scales to billions of users around the world, and supports new kinds of autonomous software. DFINITY was founded in 2016 by Dominic Williams and is backed by top-tier institutions including Polychain Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. The Internet Computer was launched in May 2021.

We’re seeking an individual that is looking to decrypt the ever-changing landscape of blockchain networks and its product/service offering. The partnership organization seeks to identify and unlock these opportunities for strategic partners to help develop the IC ecosystem and enable our community to be successful in their ventures. You’ll be a key individual in a quick acting task force that quickly analyzes, plans and acts. Collaboration and comradery are the key to success in this position. The team will seed strategic projects inside the organization and enable partners outside the foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Build business cases for strategic market prioritization and enable the leadership team to make well-informed long-term decisions.
  • Support leadership in consolidating strategic plans across verticals, folding into the broader vision if the Internet Computer
  • Provide support for business and corporate development. This might entail partnership strategy, connecting with developers and businesses in the ecosystem, and advocating for deals to support our growth strategy
  • Define opportunities and risks of current and future features, partnerships, and international footprint, looking forward to spot trends
  • Envision business, product, and growth strategies that can drive ecosystem engagement
  • Simplify value proposition for easier customer onboarding and support through the IC community
  • Assessing how the Internet Computer can be used to disrupt industries and economics

Requirements

  • You LOVE diving into the data, starting with principles, driving analysis and delivering results
  • You’re deeply analytical,can gather and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify insights and propose data driven solutions
  • You have extensive experience gathering and analyzing customer, market, and competitive data (both quantitative and qualitative) to create business strategies
  • You have 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, VC, or business and corporate development. You’re excited to bring this background to a nimble and fast-moving startup.
  • You’re a clear thinker, approach problems from a first-principles standpoint and can effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences
  • You can distill qualitative and quantitative information into compelling and meaningful storylines and recommendations
  • You can prioritize well, work with a high degree of ambiguity and balance long-term projects and short-term sprints
  • You have a deep interest for technology and an understanding of technology markets, trends, and dynamics (and a shared passion for the Internet Computer vision).
  • You’re a natural leader, but you’re low-ego. You can collaborate effectively across roles and disciplines
  • MBA is strongly preferred - CS or related studies are a plus!
