About Lazer
The Role
- Engaging with clients and gaining a deep understanding of their problems, needs, goals, and priorities.
- Architecting and developing decentralized applications (dApps) on the Solana blockchain.
- Designing, implementing, and deploying Solana programs (smart contracts) using Rust.
- Integrating dApps with existing Solana programs and invoking functions as needed.
- Developing front-end applications that interact with Solana programs using libraries like Solana Web3.
- Integrating Solana dApps with existing web2 systems and APIs.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Solana ecosystem trends and technologies.
- Contributing to the growth and development of Lazer's Solana expertise.
- Managing client expectations and project timelines to ensure alignment.
- Clearly communicating any tradeoffs and risks while intelligently addressing any client questions.
- Expert experience in full-stack development in the JavaScript / TypeScript ecosystem (React, Node, Next.js, etc.)
- Proven experience in Solana dApp development across the stack.
- Strong proficiency in Rust programming language for Solana program development.
- Familiarity with Solana-specific libraries and tools such as Anchor, Solana Web3.js, and Solana CLI.
- Expert understanding of the SVM and Solana fundamentals (account model, Sealevel runtime, Proof of History, CPI, etc.)
- Experience with Solana development tools and services such as Phantom, Solana Program Library (SPL), Metaplex, etc.
- Familiarity with one or more major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Experience working in consulting or contracting contexts.
- Active user of Solana dApps / participant of the Solana ecosystem as a user.
- Experience with Solana program auditing and security best practices.
- Familiarity with Serum DEX and other major Solana DeFi protocols.
- Experience with Solana validator node operations and management.
- Contributions to open-source projects or SDKs.
- Familiarity with other blockchain ecosystems (Ethereum, Aptos, etc.)
- Relevant industry certifications or publications.
