The Cega team is an extremely talented group of people with strong finance expertise and tech/startup engineering experience. We are fully remote but work closely together to achieve our mission with a focus on our core values.

The Role

We are looking for a self-driven Rust engineer to join our core engineering team and build out significant components of our smart contract and backend including buy-side and sell-side management, pricing, settlement, and clearing processes.

Responsibilities

Feature development - you will be develop, test and ship new backend features that supports our protocol.
Infrastructure - you will define how we run, tests, and deploys backend services to our users and customers.
Interacting with users - you will be interacting with and support our growing community of retail investors and market-makers.

Required Qualifications

You have experience launching large, complex, multifunctional projects
We don’t look for an exact minimum number of years of experience. As an approximation, we’d expect that someone with 2+ years of work on Solana contracts and/or 3-5+ years of backend engineering experience would have experience launching these complex projects
You have familiarity developing and shipping production-grade Solana Contracts
Our v1 contracts use the Anchor framework, but we’re open to exploring new frameworks if it helps with security or speed of development

Important Traits

Familiarity with Solana - you’ve developed for, or have launched a meaningful project on Solana
Crypto native - you are active in the crypto community, defi experience great to have
Strong ownership - you take pride in what you ship, take responsibility for goals and timelines, and communicate issues/blockers clearly
Curiosity - when you encounter a problem, you want to dig deeper and learn more
