Web3 Accounting Engineer - Remote

The Role

Unit 410 is a small, senior team of intrepid engineers empowering the largest cryptocurrency holders to actively participate in new networks and novel opportunities. We work with core development teams and communities to launch new protocols and often power the largest participants from day one.

Start our Accounting Engineering team joining our Lead Accounting Engineer to design and automate accounting services for current and future networks. Includes up-front network accounting design & build, automation, deployment and ongoing operations of the leading industry reporting and accounting data source and presentation for our clients. Develop novel strategies to monitor and scale accounting of each network. Implement accounting standards and best practices through building platforms, frameworks, and processes. Blends software engineering, systems engineering, and finance engineering. As each network is unique and filled with opportunity, entrepreneurial energy will help them develop a novel but appropriate infrastructure and help identify new ways to operate and scale each network’s accounting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading the pre-launch, launch, and operational accounting of each network.
  • Building accounting tools as needed from SDKs and libraries in a variety of languages.
  • Creating systems that account for millions of dollars of cryptocurrency.
  • Inventing technical, social, and industry solutions to whatever challenges arise along the way.
  • Collaborating closely with network leads, finance teams, and protocol development teams.
  • Prioritizing creative time to explore what might be next for our team and industry.

Requirements

  • Passionate about cryptocurrency and the impact it can have on the world.
  • Comfortable leveraging tools and services from AWS or GCP to build accounting systems.
  • Has designed, built, and launched successful engineering projects.
  • Respects the challenges associated with accounting for millions of dollars of cryptocurrency.
  • Experience implementing accounting automation, infrastructure, and scaling for future growth: specifically SQL, and accounting itself.
  • History of learning and growing in their previous role(s).

The base salary range for this position is $100k to $200k. This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the form of a bonus.
