As a former Head of Community and Partnerships at the Silicon Valley Web3 startup Knock Knock Games, I know first-hand the power of a positive, helpful, and engaged community.

During my time at KKG, I had sole responsibility for the community, marketing, and partnership efforts for our Web3 game. My focus on community was nailing the basics - creating a fun and safe place to mingle with other members. And then expand upon that with events and efforts to keep our audience engaged with the developments of our project. A few examples worth mentioning are influencer programs, bug bounty programs, “Let’s Play” events, and more.

My marketing efforts were focused on shaping our brand image to the market and creating a “top of the funnel” for growing our member base in Discord. I coordinated marketing plans, designed assets, scheduled media across Twitter, Youtube, Tik Tok, Substack, and Discord, and keenly tracked KPI results for each.

Lastly, my role in partnerships was focusing on finding key influencers within Web3 gaming, as well as developer peers where we could collaborate or collectively amplify our messaging. One partnership in particular that stands out is the work we did with Immutable X, GameStop, and r/Superstonk, executing an NFT airdrop campaign that drove 16k daily active players for our game, which was easily an all-time high for us.
