Blockchain technology is enabling a rapidly-growing era of innovation for the digital world. It is crucial that blockchain programs such as smart contracts be secure and correct. Smart contracts cannot be changed after they are deployed and incorrect programs can be hacked. This is where CertiK comes in. We are the leading blockchain security company. Our goal is to secure the cyber world. Come join this ambitious mission as a software engineer to work on cloud services that enable secure and correct blockchain applications!
What you will do
We are building a cloud-based service for program analysis and verification of smart contracts. As a software engineer, you will work with tool developers and product engineers to build a highly-scalable and reliable service. The service will leverage data collected across code and the compute capacity provided by the cloud. You will work on the design of microservices exposed by the service in collaboration with tools engineers. You will choose the architecture and technology platforms. You will also own core fundamentals such as infrastructure orchestration, reliability engineering, devops and monitoring. You will keep up with the latest development in cloud infrastructure, reevaluate architectural choices and coordinate migration if needed. We are growing fast and our infrastructure is expected to expand rapidly. As an early member of the team, you will be able to shape the service design and play a significant role in this journey.
You love technologies and are excited to see the systems you built run and evolve. You get things done fast and enjoy exploring the solution space to keep improving your creations. You value well-designed systems built for the long term and embrace design principles such as AWS's well-architected framework. You are conscientious on making architectural choices and can articulate the rationale behind such choices. When needed, you can dive deep to identify the root cause and set up preventive measures to guard against repeated problems. You take the soundness and reliability of the system to heart and take great pride in building a rock-solid platform.
You are a self-starter. You love to solve problems and get results, where results are people using your cloud service to do their jobs. You believe in solving the most important problems, even if they are the most difficult ones. You are collaborative: you share ideas, brainstorm, and give and receive feedback. You are comfortable with the unknown and understand that #startuplife means that you will be wearing multiple hats.
You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the AWS, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals
You'll design, implement, test, deploy, and validate the end-to-end security, reliability, and scalability of applications in the cloud
You'll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment-one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers globally
You'll manage cloud service access control and security incident responses
3+ years of experience in a large-scale environment on AWS cloud
In-depth knowledge of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security
Experience with multiple programming languages such as Java, C++, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.

Strong experience in using monitoring tools e.g. Splunk, FluentD, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Datadog, and CloudWatch

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a computer science or engineering discipline
Strong experience in orchestrating application deployments in Kubernetes platforms
Passionate about site reliability engineering (SRE) practices, new technologies and drive for continuous improvement
Experience in startups, blockchains, smart contracts, DeFi, etc
Strong contributor to open source community
