Supported, migrated, and modernized applications from on prem and vSphere/VMware to AWS. Used AWS CloudFormation/CodePipeline/CodeBuild/ServiceCatalog to automate tasks for separation of duties, and improve turn around our growing infrastructure. Proposed, deployed and maintained AWS ECS/Fargate orchestration of university’s internal chat infrastructure which was the team’s first containerized production infrastructure. Iterated Java pipelines creating various levels of CI/CD using Jenkins, bash/python scripting and eventually Chef and AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline. Built NOC-style dashboards with Grafana and Kibana. Migration Lead and SRE for OpenLDAP infrastructure for authentication of all students and faculty. Developed a hubot/coffeescript/node.js integration for syncing ServiceNow, Leankit Kanban, and Rocketchat improving team’s communication and visibility of issues. Responded to automated Nagios/CheckMK/CloudWatch system alerts 24/7 and lead RCAs.
