My name is Alejandro Almaguer, a passionate and skilled finance professional with a solid foundation in Fintech. I earned my degree in Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where I also specialized in Fund Management and Alternative Investments, and Family Business Consulting. Furthering my education, I completed a Fintech specialization remotely from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Currently, I am employed at MCartera MX, a premier money transmitter in Mexico. In this role, I manage and coordinate internal development projects, devise implementation strategies and processes for new products, and foster collaborations with significant entities in the Fintech sector. I also support various departments, including accounting, anti-money laundering (AML), innovation, and strategy, contributing to their seamless operation and efficiency. My expertise is vast and includes portfolio optimization, financial modeling, data analysis and manipulation in Excel, understanding of markets and derivatives, financial risk management, and valuation models. I am proficient in investment strategies involving alternative instruments like Cryptocurrencies, Real Estate, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Venture Capital, and Fintech. My skills extend to project planning, product implementation and strategy formulation, and I have a basic understanding of data analysis with R Studio and prompt engineering with Python and OpenAI.

During my college years, I accomplished several noteworthy achievements. My team and I received national recognition for our project "Financing Proposal for FEMSA" and for developing an investment portfolio for "SIEFORE InverCap 70-74." We were also national finalists for "Creating a Structured Note for Vector Casa de Bolsa" and "Creating a Social Project with Fitch Ratings ESG." I had the privilege of being the first to present an investment pitch and receive a certificate from the "Blue Lamb" Applied Stock Market Finance Laboratory at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Additionally, I am certified in AMIB figure 3, attesting to my expertise in the stock market.
