 I am a graduate of Emory University. I have received my Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Science, Society and Cultures. I am a wife and mother of two boys. I have transitioned into the tech industry from being a Special Education Teacher for the past 4 years. Given my background, I also bring to the table strong computer proficiencies in MS Word, MS Excel and Analytical Statistic applications such as  SPSS and a background in psychology, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and experience of studying persons and cultures. I also have a strong applied mathematics background as I have taken college level Statistics and Multivariable Calculus and I have tutored students in all levels of mathematics for about 15 years now. I have conducted research for 50+ papers, and received praise for my ability to explain in my writing as well as in person from mentors, audiences, and professors. In my experience as a teacher to students with disabilities I had to come up with creative ways to convey information daily as students with disabilities do not learn content in the same ways as their non-disabled peers. In my experience in Childcare, Customer Service and Healthcare I have learned valuable professional skills such as behavior management, adaptive teaching methods, patience, attentiveness, teamwork, clear communication skills, time management skills, goal-oriented focus, flexibility, ability to handle the unexpected, tenacity, and a willingness to learn.
