Access Pro Bono is the largest Pro Bono organization in British Columbia. I began this position as a volunteer/student before COVID and remained during COVID completing tribunals at 3 a.m. for my clients while living in Papua New Guinea. Extensive litigation experience representing low-income clients before the Residential Tenancy Board in matters regarding tenant-landlord disputes, achieving successful resolutions for 90% of clients. Examined over 20 legal documents for relevant evidence to build cases for each client over three months, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery. Guided multiple discussions with the supervising lawyer to communicate clients' interests, enabling successful settlement negotiations. Extensive experience drafting briefs and persuasive memoranda for clients to present before the tribunal.

Founded a new student society to discuss the opportunities of Islamic Finance and emerging markets in the global economy, with over 30 members. Collaborated with a 30-member team to articulate and operationalize an organization's long-term vision, mission, and strategy, bringing awareness to over 1,000 students. Developed & managed expansion initiatives, specifying four new member universities and 15 new members with King’s College London, the London School of Economics, and CASS Business School collectively, with a partnership with the University of Oxford. Organized a complex year-long lecture series featuring 15 highly respected industry experts in Islamic Finance & emerging markets, increasing engagement by 40%.

Managed a comprehensive plan to host 5 large-scale student events engaging 2,000 attendees from over 65 countries. Crafted a timeline and roadmap to guarantee timely preparation of logistics, resulting in more than 95% of objectives being completed on time. Developed a weekly spending distribution to ensure all events were kept within budget parameters, costing an average of $40K per event. Meticulously weighed options to select optimal venue while managing risks; secured venue & equipment aligned with objectives & goals within a $200,000 budget.
