Production of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Margin Reports for stakeholders on a weekly basis. Budgets and forecasts each quarter, half year and year end. Revenue recognition – Including Accrued & Deferred income. Updating budget owners/stakeholders on monthly spend. Variance analysis – Actuals vs budget MoM for directors/budget holders. Investigating cost consuming variables relating to energy and identifying potential areas for cost savings. Creating and developing effective, clear and concise balance sheets and dealing with reconciling items promptly. Working tightly with high level management and directors.

Balance Sheet reconciliations – Running Trial Balance & dealing with reconciling Items. Profit and Loss reconciliations each month with commentary to state the differences between actual vs budget. Preparation of month-end accounts: Including looking after the Fixed Asset register, Accrued & Deferred Income. Importing journals onto Sage & exporting relevant reports. Accruals and Prepayments. Liaising with Accounts Payable and Receivable to discuss processes, transactional postings and requesting supporting documents for transactions. Bank reconciliations on a regular basis for several companies. Credit card reconciliations – Requesting receipts from directors and posting for VAT purposes. Quarterly VAT returns. Communicating with internal departments such as HR and staff at all levels (including Financial Controller, CEO and CFO). Reporting to the Business Partners based on the month-end reports created, highlighting anomalies identified and investigated with commentary.

Sales & purchase ledger accounts for associated companies. Processing and raising sales and purchase invoices. Dealing with queries from customers and employees. Timely productions and executions of payment runs. Accurately coding and posting invoices with correct nominals and VAT codes. Communicating with customers and suppliers by both telephone and emails. Administer employee expense claims. Bank reconciliations.
