Engineered a PyQt5-based GUI for Terahertz (THz) laser control and material analysis, utilizing the MVC design pattern to decouple hardware control from data processing. Implemented comprehensive software quality assurance, including Unit/Integration testing and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high systems stability and reliability. Automated experimental workflows to enable 24/7 unattended testing, significantly boosting team productivity and equipment utilization.

Developed an adversarial defense framework in Pytorch using MPSENet and Gaussian noise injection. We propose the first unpaired speech enhancement framework for adversarial defense, outperforming state-of-the-art by 10–40% with 4–10x speedup in low-resource settings. Accepted by ICASSP2026.

Developed a high-performance ASR system for Hakka and Taiwanese by fine-tuning Whisper-Large via the HuggingFace transformers API, about 20% lower in Word Error Rate (WER) compared with prior works. Implemented a robust data pipeline using HuggingFace datasets API and leveraged VITS for data augmentation, effectively mitigating data scarcity and enhancing model generalizability.
