Supervise a team of 4 Engineers who develop and maintain the company’s core applications. Collaborate in the design of new features and applications alongside other Team Leads and the Engineering Manager. Lead the code re factorization of the company’s legacy code core applications to a more flexible and easy to maintain design, improving the time needed to add new features or to detect and fix bugs. Drive the effort to add automatic Unit-Tests in our CI/CD pipeline, improving the quality of our releases and bringing coverage up to >80% across the core code base.

High performance C++17/20 Development for Linux and Windows for cloud-based applications. Packet processing and filtering on high speed networks (100Gbps) using Kernel bypass technologies. Designed and implemented a service app that allows the user to seamlessly send Multicast and Broadcast traffic to the cloud. Identified bottlenecks in the company’s service-app using code-profilers and optimized the code, improving the performance by around 30%. Designed and implemented an UDP based lossless protocol.

Research & Development of state of the art forward error correction algorithms for fiber optics communication chips. Developed High level simulators using Python allowing us to quickly study the characteristics and feasibility of FEC algorithms. Implemented High speed simulators using C++ 11 to study in depth the characteristics of some FEC algorithms in different scenarios. Implemented FEC algorithms in hardware using Verilog & SystemVerilog reaching speeds up to 800 Gbps in the Orion Chip.

Firmware development for Cortex M0 & M3 microprocessors. Integrated all kinds of sensors (temperature, humidity, etc) to our hardware platform. Added LoraWan and Zigbee wireless protocols to the platform allowing us to send information across long distances.
