SDE and team tech lead across 2 critical Amazon organizations: Information Security and Amazon Robotics. As part of Amazon Robotics I designed and led the implementation of a new robotics management software that runs on thousands of workcells, targeting cost optimization and robustness at scale as part of a cross-organization initiative. Collaborated with 4 external teams to ensure smooth of our services. Led a 4-person team to design and implement mechanism to build and deploy the previous generation management software in order to reduce incidents and operational costs. This mechanism also facilitates the migration to the new generation system. I mentored over a dozen interns and new hires, designing and providing guidance for them to implement new functionalities for existing services. As a security certifier, I was responsible for my organization’s security practices. I consulted and provided guidance on security matters to multiple teams, both in and outside of our org. As part of Infosec I designed a new protocol for handling sensitive data in transit and at rest (encryption), used for services handling billions of requests every day. This protocol reduces latency while using less compute resources. I led design reviews to obtain buy-in from multiple senior and principal engineers, then led a 3-person team to implement it. I also started and delivered on multiple initiatives to improve team operational excellence and high-severity TTR metrics.

Worked on migrating a governmental on-premise system to a cloud architecture using the HashiCorp stack. Held regular meetings with the customer to gather requirements and ensure a great customer experience. I brought several improvements to the cloud architecture to facilitate migration without downtime. Directly handled the migration of dozens of tenants from the old software to the new stack with 0 downtime, while also making considerable improvements to the process by creating new automation tools. To do this, I also surveyed several teams and customers to identify the best automation opportunities.

Worked on extending an automobile geofencing software written in C++. Developed several testing frameworks for an automobile event bus application that improved developer productivity and sped up the QA process. I also built several features for the event bus itself based on new customer requirements.
