I am a mentee of the CEO, Nick Bentivoglio, who continues to discuss business operations and include me as part of the internal structure of the company. I sit in on development meetings and help test products and services to provide feedback. Currently, I am working on a partnerships with institutional clients that I sourced independently to use our portfolio management system and to automate some of their strategies. I was invited to join the company for Consensus 2024 crypto event in Austin Texas. I was given autonomy to talk to potential clients, business partners and nurture new relationships. I learnt a lot about presenting myself, representing a business and actively listening. As part of my time in the R&D department, I lead the restructure and maintenance of our Kanban board for an ongoing project using Jira. This involved extracting sprints, stories and epics from the HOD’s notes to create a coherent project management plan. I was also entrusted with documenting the public wiki for client use, formatting over 6000 lines of markdown code. I attended and organised weekly scrums over three months and held position as scrum master over this time. This experience built up my skills in communicating with colleagues and seniors and technical proficiency with Jira software. In my time in the marketing department I pitched a campaign exploring the company’s beginnings and founders, which was met with positive feedback. I contributed to the scripting of a video promotion and wrote several social media posts for review. I learnt about creative collaboration, how to openly discuss new ideas and learned from industry veterans by example.
