I have been developing and testing smart contracts intensively for over 2 years now (with additional time in web development) and work well with Hardhat, Ganache, Truffle, web3.js, ethers.js, Remix and many of the common tools. While I’m certainly focused on blockchain development, I have front- and back-end development experience and feel confident that I could quickly adapt to a new tech stack wherever needed.

During the last 2 years (my most intensive web3 development phase) I have been the main blockchain developer for several projects including building and testing a DeFi platform for an ex-NASA Senior Software Engineer and his US-based company. The platform contains advanced features like a bonding curve token with staking functionality that integrates with Aave’s lending pool. Additionally, I have also built a range of NFT projects for international clients as the main blockchain developer for a Canadian company. Besides these I participated in several Ethereum coding contests (“hackathons”) and won one of the prizes, together with my team-mate, a Senior Software Engineer from Google. At the moment I’m especially interested in advanced smart contract security and the EVM and am participating in several related Capture-The-Flag whitehat hacking challenges like Ethernaut and DamnVulnerableDefi, using tools such as Slither, Echidna, Manticore and similar resources, including the Secureum program. 

As a person I would characterize myself as a self-driven “people person” and team player that enjoys creating success together and helping others. This includes learning and teaching in teams. I have traveled quite a bit, lived in several countries and have worked very well with people from many different cultures and backgrounds. Due to these experiences and my studies, I speak 3-4 languages (German, English, Portuguese and Spanish), which is often helpful when working in teams, training people or creating helpful documentation.
