Hi, I’m Derek. I’m a backend engineer with extensive experience in Java and backend system development.

In my previous work, I mainly focused on payment systems, trading-related systems, and financial infrastructure. I have worked on areas such as payment processing, fee calculation, account systems, reconciliation, settlement, and fiat-to-crypto payment integrations.

My main programming language is Java, and I also use Go for building high-performance backend services. Recently, I’ve been focusing more on Web3 technologies, including blockchain transactions, wallets, DEX systems, Solidity, and Rust.

I’m especially interested in building reliable and scalable backend systems. I have experience with distributed systems, Redis, Kafka, MySQL, microservices, and high-concurrency scenarios.

I also use AI tools to improve my development and learning efficiency, but I always make sure I understand the underlying concepts and can solve problems independently.

At this stage, I’m looking for a backend engineering opportunity where I can combine my experience in payments, financial systems, and Web3, while continuing to grow in system design and high-performance engineering.
