Derrick has enjoyed successful stints at some of the world's leading law firms. During his time in legal practice, Derrick advised and assisted clients on an array of complex IP, corporate and commercial matters. Eventually, Derrick built his practice around technology law, counting listed companies and large conglomerates amongst his clientele. Separately, Derrick developed a personal interest for crypto and DeFi which coincided with the rise of Web 3. Deciding it was time to synergize his passion for Web 3 with his legal acumen, Derrick then made the move in-house, where he has been devoted to seeing this nascent industry to the moon.
