Why consider a digital marketing expert who has worked previously as a loan officer? To answer this, it’s important to understand a loan officers’ role. On the surface, we facilitate loan transactions from start to finish. However, the role consists of far more than it appears. Retail loan officers are responsible for sourcing and maintaining their own book of business using several lead generation tools, including social media. So, we post our headshots, our closings, photos of us in the community, along with our five-star reviews and that's where it ends. For a while, it works. Then we fall victim to burnout and our followers lose interest. We forget that social media is a relationship building tool and just as we would in person, we must engage our viewer so that they’ll want to continue to do business with us as an individual and as a brand. Understanding that, I made it my mission to learn the science of social media and product marketing and how the different platforms use human behavior to develop systems to keep followers engaged. I deduced that once I understood the “why”, the “how”, and the “what” I could use this knowledge to extend my reach thus increasing my ability to build new relationships and generate revenue.
A career in Web 3.0 is going to require an individual who has passion, drive, and creativity. Competition is fierce, so the perfect candidate will need to use their exceptional communication skills and innovation to stand out amongst the crowd. A new candidate will truly need to believe in what they are selling to passionately share how it is the answer to their prospect’s problems.
In my previous roles, product knowledge was pivotal to my success. To date, I’ve closed nearly $100 million mortgage loan transactions. This was only possible because I believe that real estate is a financial tool that’ll pull families out of poverty. When you are excited about what you are “selling”, it’s no longer sales. It’s that simple.
I am truly excited to make the transition to Web 3. While I’ll always be a loan officer at heart, I know that this is the next phase of my career. I am looking to continue working in Sales and Marketing with an emphasis on Social media. Additionally, I want to be a part of a team that encourages implementation of innovative processes and policies. I look forward to exploring the next steps of your hiring process.
