Hi all! 

I am a mixed-methods researcher who has 15 years of research experience with  8 of those years being in the tech industry. I have been the primary researcher on a range of B2B and B2C products. My time in tech has focused on embarking on the unknown by helping build enterprise software that asks the user to change their mental model of not only how things work but also what is possible. Additionally, I have spent a lot of time doing user segmentation studies where I have gotten to know different types of technical users. Most recently I have been exploring those who use open-source software. I have managed the entire research lifecycle and collaborated closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and visionaries. As an individual, I am intrigued by human behavior and studied decision-making during grad school. I value continuous learning, collaboration, and mentoring. 

My approach to research is to first understand the problem and then use the correct methodology to best answer it under varying business constraints. I always provide actionable insights and always aim to provide next steps and possible future directions. I am scrappy while being precise and enjoy working with a team in a fast-paced environment. Being able to do impactful research is just as important as telling the story of the research results. The head of product at Salesforce and AWS always called on me to keep him honest. I fostered my reputation as the go-to voice of the user by evangelizing research through presentations, compelling documentation, and being present in conversations. I love getting to know users through various research techniques and being able to tell their stories in a way that directs product development in a meaningful way.

I love exploring new areas! Web3 is exciting to me not only because it is new and innovative, but because it is decentralized which in turn redistributes power. I think it is important to stay focused on the user when innovating new technology. It is important to understand who the users will be, what are their objectives, and what are their attitudes amongst many other questions. Keeping the user at the center of innovation with systematic research is important for all new endeavors. I am an intellectual explorer at heart and am excited about what the future could bring!
