Smart Contract/Web3 Developer
The following is related to my experience at my last job and the skills I used.
Freelance NFT Developer & Personal Project Aug 2023 – Present
Since I wasn't working at the company during this time, I'm working on the products I've been wanting to develop as much as possible.
I thought that if Web3 spreads quickly, the gaming industry would be the first to be affected, so I thought of NFTs that could be used in gaming systems. I think the most problematic point when using NFT in a gaming system is the inconvenient UX. To solve the inconveniences of unfamiliar users such as connecting wallets such as Metamask or moving cryptocurrency, we designed Mandala, an inventory platform that combines ERC-4337 and ERC-6551. After creating a social media account with Web3 Auth, creating and attaching a SCW (Smart Contract Wallet) to it, and then creating a game character account as a TBA (Token Bound Account) and inserting items into the TBA, the user can receive cryptocurrency at most once. You can easily enjoy Web3 games by simply moving. In the Mandala project, I was in charge of all blockchain-related tasks. SCW was created using Biconomy's ERC-4337 related services, and the implementation of ERC-6551 Smart Contract was created and combined.
Because I was interested in RWA (Real World Assets), I created an MVP project that could provide utility to NFTs. The first is Crowdstep, a Web3 Crowdfunding Platform that prevents investor damage that may occur due to crowdfunding through NFTs and Smart Contracts and allows investment payments based on milestones. Developed using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, Wagmi hooks, Rainbow kit, and web3.js. In this project, we mainly worked on creating a smart contract and connecting it to the front-end.
The second project is a news media website related to DAO. It is a new type of news media that quickly reads blockchain-related news from overseas media outside of Korea, AI reproduces the news based on the news, uploads it to the draft, and then all DAO members holding NFTs review the news as an editing desk. I thought it would be a way to eliminate the collusion between politics and business in existing news media and effectively share profits. As expected, it was completed with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Wagmi, and Rainbow kit.
My most recent project were mealkittoday.com and ytscrape.com. Both are not related to Web3 or Blockchain, but I made by myself with React.js and Next.js, Tailwind CSS and Material UI. I have a side project teammate, but I always wanted to use and build my own project so I just made with small idea.
Kapecommunications, Seoul (remote) Mar 2022 – Aug 2023
Klayapecommunications mainly led all developments related to NFT. Smart Contract was created with Hardhat and Remix IDE, and mainly dealt with ERC-721, ERC-721a, and ERC-20. For companies that use NFT and FT as their main assets, creating a smart contract that can save gas fees is as important as creating a token. In particular, as tasks such as airdrops are performed periodically, technologies such as Batch Transfer, which can reduce gas costs, had to be appropriately used. In addition, the technology to create Mutant NFT using Serum NFT, which was first introduced by BAYC, was first attempted in Korea and created Mutant Ape NFT, a series of Klay Ape Club, with an appropriate UI.
All web pages related to NFTs were built with React.js. Web3.js was actively used to sell NFTs. Additionally, MetaOasis, Klayapecommunication's metaverse project, was created with the Unity engine, and a web page for web login using a wallet was built with React.js. For DB and hosting, I mainly used Firebase's Firestore and Firebase Hosting, but I also have experience using AWS's EC2.
Voiceloco, Seoul Feb 2017 - Mar 2018
I joined Voiceloco as a front-end developer, but later worked on infrastructure research as well. I developed a VoIP solution mainly using React.js and Bootstrap CSS. Afterwards, I carried out a project to containerize all services using Docker to provide companies with a one-stop solution.
SK Holdings Co., Seoul Jul 2015 - Mar 2017
At SK Holdings, I worked as a network project manager and was mainly responsible for designing network equipment for IDCs and buildings. Managed Cisco and Extreme's L2, L3, and Wi-Fi equipment. Although it was not directly related to the front-end, I received full stack developer training including Java Spring, javascript, HTML5, and CSS3 for about 3 months while receiving on-the-job training.
LOTTE Information & Tech Co., Seoul Jul 2014 - Feb 2015
I worked as an operations manager for the store management system at the headquarters of 7-11 in Korea. I operated the system with Java, JSP, and Oracle DB.
