Rust Blockchain Engineer

I'm a distributed systems software engineer primarily working with Rust
I transitioned from backend engineering in web2 banking/fintech sector to protocol engineering by contributing to open-source projects in the near and polkadot ecosystems. I then joined MatchX as a blockchain engineer using Rust and Substrate to build out the Datahiway IOT DePin blockchain.

I joined Polytope labs and contributed to projects like Simnode (a runtime testing tool for substrate-based blockchains) and ISMP (Interoperable State Machine Protocol) for state-proof based message passing between chains, which formed the basis for Hyperbrige, a groundbreaking trustless bridge that recently went mainnet.

Most recently I've been a Decentralized Infra Engineer at Nillion cross functioning across the Blockchain, DevOps, and Networking teams working on bringing Nillion's Private compute network to life

• Implemented garbage collection for nillion’s compute nodes resulting in significant storage savings across the entire network (Rust) • Implemented and deployed solidity contracts to grant arbitrum users access to private compute on the nillion network. • Built out the collection and distribution backend infra for nillion’s airdrop. • Leveraged Terraform & AWS to provision & deploy an Optimism rollup L2 blockchain to facilitate payments and economic incentivization on Nillion’s decentralized private computation network. • Set up and deployed Sepolia Ethereum node for dedicated L2 to L1 connection (Terraform, AWS) • Implemented bridging infrastructure to facilitate seamless asset transfers between L1 & L2 • Set up a block-explorer for the Layer 2 OP stack chain to improve monitoring and transparency of activities, ensuring enhanced visibility and accountability.
