I studied Mathematics as an undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol, followed by a masters in Computer Science at Imperial College London which concluded in October 2022. For my masters thesis, I designed and developed an eco-system of Ethereum smart contracts which provide an alternative pathway for financing, constructing and monitoring infrastructure projects in developing countries. The smart contracts are being used by the ‘Spring DAO’ whose founders I have been working with closely. The Spring DAO, still under development, aims to fund critical infrastructure and is supported by Brevan Howard. The thesis itself is being published in the ACM academic journal: “Distributed Ledger Technology: Research & Practice”, with the ‘European Research Area Chair in Blockchain’ and Director of the ‘Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering’ as my co-authors. This experience has made me passionate about web3 and the real world, tangible benefits its technology can provide. As a result I want to get into Web3 professionally, either as a dev or in a more people facing role.
