Software Engineer And Researcher

I'm a software engineer and PhD researcher working on blockchain and distributed systems. I've been building software professionally for more than a decade: first as a full-stack .NET engineer on a fleet-management platform at Arctic Track, then six years at Advania as a software engineer and project manager, building system integrations and bespoke solutions.

Since 2024 I've been a PhD candidate in computer science at Reykjavík University, funded through Ripple's University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI). My research covers permissioned blockchains, consensus, distributed timestamping and trust in enterprise settings. I also hold an MSc and a BSc in Software Engineering.

I'm looking for a role where I can combine research depth with hands-on engineering: protocol or core blockchain engineering, distributed systems, or research engineering on consensus and infrastructure. I work best where difficult technical ideas have to become working systems, and I'm comfortable moving between research, architecture and implementation. I'm based in Iceland, hold both Icelandic and US citizenship, and am open to hybrid and remote work.
