Type Script Engineer
Dear Hiring Team,
Iām a Web3-focused software engineer with experience building production-grade multi-chain data systems, developer SDKs, and automation-driven tooling across both infrastructure and application layers. Iām particularly motivated by environments where system reliability, indexing performance, and developer ergonomics directly influence ecosystem growth.
At Covalent, I worked on foundational Web3 data infrastructure powering production APIs consumed by dApps, analytics platforms, and enterprise integrations. My work spanned schema design for indexed blockchain data, direct JSON-RPC interaction, caching strategies for performance optimisation, and handling chain-specific edge cases, including event decoding and reorg-related consistency concerns. I built and optimised multi-chain data pipelines, introduced structured logging and observability improvements, implemented retry logic and rate limiting, and contributed to reliability improvements largely driven by intelligent caching layers.
One of my core contributions was rebuilding the official TypeScript SDK from the ground up, redesigning abstractions, modular transport layers, and error-handling flows to improve type safety and downstream developer experience. I also built GoldRush Decoder, a scalable event decoding system capable of interpreting identical events across contracts and chains, enabling standardised decoding workflows for ERC20, ERC721, and related standards.
In parallel, I designed and shipped an AI Agent SDK as part of a Zero-Employee-Enterprise (ZEE) initiative. The system orchestrated multi-agent workflows, including a Planner, a Router, and Endgame agents, operating over tools and structured state transitions. Architecturally, this resembled early agent-to-agent coordination systems, in which agents interact to decompose tasks into linear steps and converge toward a goal state. The most challenging engineering problem involved resolving agent conversation loops and ensuring deterministic flow completion under recursive interaction scenarios.
Prior to Covalent, as a Founding Engineer at Hashmail, I architected a wallet-authenticated messaging infrastructure with signature-based access control, serverless proxy layers, and event-driven, real-time updates. My background also includes frontend-heavy systems, and I continue to value strong UI-layer engineering, but I increasingly gravitate toward the reliability and systems design challenges that underpin developer platforms and protocol-facing tools.
Iām excited by teams that value thoughtful abstraction design, production reliability, and infrastructure that developers can trust at scale. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute at the intersection of protocol interaction, data systems, and developer tooling.
Best regards,
Yashvardhan Jagnani
