Andre Aila Owano is a blockchain innovator and tech entrepreneur with a passion for building decentralized solutions that solve real-world challenges. As the founder of MaishaCare, I’m leading the charge on a blockchain-based healthcare data marketplace that puts patients in control of their data. This project leverages Solidity, smart contracts, and the Lisk blockchain to create a secure, transparent decentralized application (dApp) where individuals own their health data and earn token-based incentives for sharing it—a true embodiment of Web3 principles like data sovereignty and innovative economic models.

My technical toolkit includes blockchain technologies such as DAOs, cryptography, Solidity, and smart contract development, alongside proficiency in Python, Rust, and JavaScript—skills I’ve applied to build robust, decentralized systems. With a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and training in mobile software development and entrepreneurship, I bring a strong educational foundation to the table. My experience as a DevOps Engineering Intern at Safaricom sharpened my ability to manage high-stakes technical environments, while leading MaishaCare has honed my skills in digital transformation, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
