As a lifelong tech enthusiast, I've worked several jobs from Software Developer, Systems Administrator, Devops, and Instructor. Teaching students in college level courses and bootcamps was very fulfilling, and I love showing students how to program and solve coding challenges. Working with other engineers on new solutions while learning with them is my passion!

I've been writing Ruby on Rails web applications for 15 years. My work ranges from small e-commerce sites, to large apps with multi-million dollar sales. During graduate school I spent time studying fractal visualizations, fractal dimension, neural networks and machine learning principles. 

I have been learning NodeJS/Express development in recent years, and in 2020 I took the full stack open course on Express/React development from the University of Helsinki in Finland to expand my career into this new realm. I am currently advancing my knowledge of Rust to better my skills in Systems Programming. I am always looking to expand my technical skill set and love attending developer conferences to learn and grow more in my career.

When I'm not coding you can find me on a hike, down by the river, playing music in my home studio, cooking healthy foods and spending time with my amazing son.
