As the CEO of Travybug, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company, from development to launch and growth. Due to the startup nature of our company, I wore multiple hats and took on a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Strategic Planning and Execution: Developed and implemented strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives. Managed the launch of Travybug and TravyPartner applications on the App Store and Play Store. Product Development: Oversaw the development of Travybug using Flutter for the frontend and a backend powered by Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and AWS. Directed the development of TravyPartner with React Native for the frontend and a backend using Django, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Ensured that both applications were built with a robust and scalable architecture to meet specific requirements. Team Management: Built and led a cross-functional team, including developers, designers, and marketers. Directed and motivated the sales team to develop and implement strategies for acquiring users and merchants. Market Expansion and User Acquisition: Developed and executed strategies to attract and retain users and partners, leading to significant traction. Successfully grew the user base to 1870 users and onboarded 74 merchants within the first year. Sales and Partnerships: Directed the sales efforts to establish partnerships and drive revenue.
