Built several features for NIUM Checkout, enabling unified payment APIs across geographies. Added payment gateway integrations, paginated APIs, email automation, APIs for configuring form fields on payment pages, alerting via Slack, restricted product filtering (using Lucene library), etc. Tech: Java, Spring Boot/WebFlux, microservices.

Contributed to the SQL Server Storage Engine. Extended DMV schema with new telemetry columns for enhanced diagnostics, and designed/implemented comprehensive test suites to validate XML compression, improving data integrity and test coverage. Tech: C++, database internals.

Made enhancements to the Universal Data Adapter (UDA) framework, enabling dynamic configuration of register/backup/restore flows across diverse databases using JSON-based customization. Built CLI tools and backend APIs to inject and manage live JSON config updates in distributed clusters; changes spanned 3 microservices and upgrade workflows. Rewrote legacy cluster management APIs to align with modern OpenAPI specs and evolving product requirements. Tech: C++, Golang, protobuf, microservices, distributed systems.

Developed security mechanisms for the SAFE exam portal including but not limited to WiFi based location checking for attendance and CNN based face recognition / face ani-spoofing measures for attendance. Implemented NLP-based clustering of student quiz responses for easier grading using sentence embeddings. Did code profiling to analyze and optimize several slow APIs, achieving substantial speedups.
