Technical Architect & Senior Haskell Engineer | Bridging Research, Product, And Delivery In Blockchain Systems (Cardano)
I am a senior Haskell software engineer and technical architect working at the intersection of blockchain protocol design, product direction, and delivery.
At Input Output (IOG), I lead initiatives in technically complex, research-heavy domains where product intent and implementation reality must stay tightly aligned. I remain hands-on in Haskell and use implementation work to validate architectural decisions, de-risk strategy, and accelerate delivery.
Recent highlights include:
• Marlowe transition: driving the shift toward a sustainable, ecosystem-driven model (including Catalyst positioning, governance and operational setup, and codebase readiness).
• Ouroboros Phalanx: leading the design of an anti-grinding enhancement to Ouroboros Praos, bridging applied cryptography, research, and protocol engineering.
• Cavefish: leading an intent-based light client infrastructure workstream, translating cryptographic research into end-to-end prototypes and specifications.
Before IOG, I spent 15+ years in North American startups as a founder employee, principal engineer, and remote CTO, operating across product, architecture, and execution.
What I'm looking for: CTO / VP Engineering / Head of Engineering / Enterprise Architect / Principal Engineer roles in blockchain, FinTech, DeFi or adjacent domains — remote, ideally with a functional-programming stack (Haskell, Scala, Rust, OCaml). Minimum target compensation: €150k/year.

Technical Architect and initiative lead across research-heavy innovation workstreams at the intersection of protocol design, product direction, and delivery. • Led the design of Ouroboros Phalanx, an anti-grinding enhancement to Ouroboros Praos, bridging research, applied cryptography, and protocol engineering. • Authored and drove CPS-0021 and CIP-0161, formalising protocol-level risks and coordinating alignment between research, engineering, and Cardano governance. • Led Cavefish, a light-client infrastructure workstream, validating and prototyping intent-based transaction construction using ZK and Cardano transaction flows. • Drove Marlowe's continuation beyond IOG funding via the Marlowe 2025 Catalyst proposal — aligning technical roadmap, governance, and ecosystem funding strategy. • Remained hands-on in Haskell to ground architectural and product decisions in direct implementation.
