Solidity Engineer

Hello! I’m Njoku, a 19-year-old developer passionate about blockchain technology and the transformative potential of Web3. Currently, I’m diving deep into Solidity to master smart contract development, with hands-on practice in building decentralized applications (dApps) and experimenting with Ethereum-based protocols. My GitHub (https://github.com/NJOKUCODEIVy) showcases projects like a dynamic, user-driven game where outcomes evolve based on decentralized interactions—reflecting my fascination with systems where "the end is not predetermined."

While my professional journey is just beginning, I’ve focused on creating smart contracts for experimental games and decentralized governance models, emphasizing security and modular design. I’m eager to collaborate on smart contract development, DAO tooling, or NFT projects, particularly those that challenge traditional systems or prioritize community-driven outcomes.

I’m seeking roles or internships where I can contribute to impactful Web3 projects while learning from experienced teams. Whether it’s auditing contracts, optimizing gas fees, or designing novel dApp architectures, I thrive in environments that value innovation and iterative problem-solving. My goal is to grow into a full-stack blockchain developer, blending smart contract expertise with frontend skills to build seamless, user-centric decentralized solutions.

Let’s connect if you’re working on DeFi protocols, gaming ecosystems, or tools that empower decentralized communities. I’m especially drawn to startups or open-source initiatives pushing the boundaries of blockchain’s real-world utility.

Experience

Software Engineer
Genesys Tech Hub
2025 - 2025
During my internship, I was assigned to the software development team, where I contributed to both individual and collaborative projects. My responsibilities included setting up and managing development environments, configuring GitHub repositories, and ensuring smooth version control practices to support team workflows. I worked extensively with JavaScript and advanced into object-oriented programming concepts, applying them in practical projects such as a student management system and a telephone management system. I also developed interactive web applications, integrating APIs, implementing DOM manipulations, and applying asynchronous programming techniques with Promises and async/await. A major focus of my internship was blockchain development. I configured local Ethereum networks, designed and deployed Solidity smart contracts, and built decentralized applications (DApps) including a feedback platform and token-based reward systems. I successfully deployed ERC and ERC-20 tokens, developed an NFT contract, integrated multiple wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase), and optimized gas usage by 25%. I also participated in internal security audits to identify and resolve smart contract vulnerabilities. Beyond technical work, I applied test-driven development (TDD) and regression testing to ensure reliability and scalability of applications. I regularly presented project progress to supervisors, collaborated with team members on integration tasks, and engaged in peer knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen team performance. This experience equipped me with hands-on expertise in Web3 development, smart contract engineering, and modern web technologies, preparing me to contribute effectively to blockchain-based solutions in real-world environments.
