PaulCrinquand
Junior Solidity Developer
Hello!
I'm a software developer with a passion for exploring new frontiers, especially in the exciting world of crypto. I was born and raised near Geneva, a city known for its openness and diversity, and had the privilege of working at CERN twice during my early years. During my first internship, I honed my coding skills by re-writing data storage code in Python. In my second internship, I was introduced to cutting-edge 3D printing processes and techniques used at CERN.
After moving to Barcelona, I attended a project-based software development school called Epitech where I learned to code in C, C++, Haskell, Bash, Python and gained valuable skills like time management and the ability to learn quickly and work long hours. This is where my journey in the crypto world began. During the Avalanche Summit in Barcelona, I joined a team that built YieldPool, a platform that lowered the risk of investing in NFTs. The project was a success and won us a prize and investment.
I continued to participate in several other hackathons including the Celo Connect Mobile hackathon where we built a donation platform, and the ETHGlobal DAOHacks where we built a repository of Intellectual Properties licenses managed by the LicenseDAO. These projects allowed me to further develop my skills in Solidity and build smart contracts.
After participating in these hackathons, I joined multiple projects including PLUR, a no-code platform to token-gate communities, where I wrote the on-chain generation smart contract for NFTs. I also had a third internship at a French blockchain startup, iExec, where I integrated a team of highly skilled individuals and scientists doing research. I led a project that aimed at creating an e-signature platform like Docusign from scratch to an MVP in 4 months, with a focus on data privacy.
Recently, I participated in the buildspace Nights&Weekends program and even got to travel to San Francisco to meet other talented individuals. For this program, I built inVerse, a platform to help navigate the metaverse and try each one before committing to registration.
I'm very positive and I love learning and passing along my knowledge, with a friendly and professional approach to my work. I'm always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow as a software developer, and I'm excited to see where my journey takes me next!
