I am writing to express my interest in pursuing a career within the Web3 space, leveraging my extensive experience and diverse skill set to contribute meaningfully to your team. With a solid background in various fields and a passion for innovative technologies, I am excited about the opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Throughout my career, I have successfully managed and led multiple projects across different sectors, demonstrating my ability to adapt and excel in diverse roles. As the owner of Prestons Liquor Store and Events Company from 2001 to 2007, and later, 137 High Street Restaurant, Guest House, and Events Management from 2007 to 2016, I honed my skills in operational management, financial oversight, and client relationship management. These roles required a high level of multitasking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, all of which are critical in the fast-paced Web3 industry.

My role as a free addiction counselor from 2008 to 2018, along with my founding and cochairing of the Grahamstown Business Forum from 2012 to 2014, has provided me with invaluable experience in counseling and therapy skills, active listening and empathy. These skills are crucial for building trust and rapport within a team and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

In addition to my counseling experience, I have been deeply involved in Web 3 since 2021. This time has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of blockchain fundamentals, portfolio building, macroeconomics, cryptography, DeFi, NFTs, tokenomics, combined with my project management and problem-solving skills, positions me well to tackle the challenges and opportunities within the Web3 space.

Moreover, my experience as a community organizer and leader, particularly in founding and administering an online NA community, of 160k members, from 2008 to 2012, has enhanced my capabilities in community engagement, public speaking, negotiation, and conflict resolution. I understand the importance of building strong, supportive communities and can bring these skills to a company that values collaboration and innovation.

My adaptability and readiness to take on any role that acknowledges my abilities or, at the very least, gives me the opportunity to showcase them, makes me a strong candidate for any position within the Web3 industry. I'm also currently working with a proto-team looking to build a trade intelligence system, which will grab chain data, filter and rank it, and with any luck be automatable to a trading bot. We're aiming at Sol for primary deployment but abstraction to any chain later down the line. Very early days there, but a lot of potential.

In recent years, I have specialized in the web3 space, developing expertise in blockchain technology, DeFi, NFTs, and community management. I am passionate about the potential of crypto and web3 to reshape industries and am eager to contribute to innovative projects within this ecosystem.
