Hi there, I’m Sam, a seasoned senior recruiter / head of talent with 15 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience and 5 years in leading a globally distributed team. Currently the Head of talent acquisition for Interchain Foundation/GmbH.

My background is in fast paced and dynamic environments, scaling tech organisations globally. I have a demonstrable background in both technical and non-tech recruiting with key hires in software engineering/developers (Golang, RUST, Java, Solidity etc), smart contract engineers, product managers, data scientists, protocol engineers, ecosystem leads, developer relations, devops, payroll, partnership/growth managers, sales/BD, finance, legal, marketing, operations etc. both at individual contributor (IC) level to Director/leadership. 


My passion is to work with tech based start-ups or atleast where it feels more of a start-up than a large org. I like the chaotic nature of working in boutique organisations and rolling up my sleeves to contribute and ‘figure it out’. 

I look to build and foster strong working relationships with teams, hiring leads and colleagues alike. I have demonstrable experience in selecting and implementing an ATS/CRM tool, standardising hiring process, creating interview metrics and rubric, building talent pools, working closely with hiring teams on growth initiatives and reporting - I’m a bit of a geek for data to help drive decision making and process improvement. 

Happily married, a dad to a loving boy, love for the outdoors, enjoy playing many sports and a geek when it comes to cars. Own a couple of old school BMWs and forever trying to convince the wife that I need another...
