Hey!
I'm Sebastián from Argentina. I'm a Computer Scientist with a passion for cryptography. I'm currently working on my master's thesis, where I'm combining ideas from two protocols to create my own Zero Knowledge Maintainable Vector Commitment scheme for dynamic groups. I’ve studied the theory, designed the protocol on paper, and finally implemented it from scratch. I also implemented other similiar protocols that hadn’t been coded before, just so I could benchmark and compare everything. For this, I learned Rust and worked extensively with Arkworks' tooling.
I was part of the PSE Core Program 2024 in Buenos Aires, an educational initiative by the Ethereum Foundation’s Privacy & Scaling Explorations team. There, I studied topics like Zero Knowledge Proofs, Multi-party Computation, and Fully Homomorphic Encryption. This is where I fell in love with programmable cryptography. After the program, I attended Devcon 2024 in Bangkok, where I had an amazing time listening to talks and discussing ideas with researchers and developers.
Before that, I worked for a year as a backend engineer at a Web2 startup, where I helped build a Python/FastAPI server that communicated with other servers to get car insurance information. I also developed internal tools for Business Analytics, such as automated workflows using n8n and Slack’s API, efficient statistical calculations and analysis, and more.
I'm currently looking for new opportunities. Ideally something research-oriented, but I'm open to anything that feels meaningful and challenging. I find it thrilling to work on things that haven’t been done before, to explore different ideas, and to collaborate with a “no idea is a bad idea” mindset. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I believe the best way to grow is by doing. I’m excited to learn from others, discuss ideas, and keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
If you think I’d be a good fit for your team, feel free to reach out, I’d love to connect!
