I currently serve as the Financial Controller for Metaveral Ventures Inc. for the past 9 months, focusing on ensuring sound end-to-end financial management for the organization. My responsibilities include coordinating annual tax filings for the organization (US-based), managing the relationship with the external bookkeeping organization, reconciling on-chain and fiat transactions, and producing monthly financials, cash burn calculations, and budgets for the organization. Previously, I have worked at a wide range of organizations in both traditional finance and Web3. After completing my University Honours, I served as a financial internal auditor for various companies based in Southern Africa. Thereafter, I transitioned into the world of Web3 financial services, joining Autonomous Projects Limited, where I provided an outsourced CFO function to various high-end Foundations based in the Cayman Islands, as well as in other jurisdictions (British Virgin Islands, Türkiye, Singapore). As an individual, I thrive in an environment where collaboration is key, but I also appreciate an element of autonomy when conducting detailed work. Having this balance in the work environment helps the team achieve key deliverables in an efficient and effective manner, while enabling shared knowledge between team members to strengthen the overall team. I am deadline-driven and willing to put in the extra hours to complete tasks timeously. My attention to detail, pursuit of excellence, proactive nature, and willingness to collaborate have been demonstrated through the successful completion of projects and deliverables to date. I am committed to using new technologies to find efficiencies within the organization, whether it be blockchain technology or artificial intelligence, enabling an organization to operate at its maximum potential in the Web3 environment.
