I was one of two founding engineers that architected and shipped the Unbound Living MVP platform from scratch in 6 months. Without a product team, I collaborated directly with founders on product and technical decisions. I delivered a user facing web app (Next.js, Supabase) and an internal admin portal (Next.js, Refine) that covered patient onboarding, booking system, AI assisted health reports etc. I owned the user facing application and led the development of an internal React Native/Expo iPad meditation app that included native audio playback, video recording and file syncing.

I was the sole front-end developer tasked with a full migration and rebuild of the PAID Network platform from a NextJS front-end to React Remix. I integrated with a legacy MongoDB backend and Ethereum smart contracts. I implemented Web3 wallet connectivity across a range of flows such as staking, claiming etc, using the wagmi and ethers.js libraries. I carried out some backend development alongside the rebuild, including creating new endpoints and various fixes to the existing REST APIs.

I built customer facing features within a 5 person team for a greenfield React Native cashback app using TypeScript, Apollo, Storyblok CMS and GraphQL. I integrated the app with a number of third-party SDKs (Iterable, Segment, AppsFlyer).

I developed features across the full stack, covering multiple flows eg. onboarding, transfer/payment flows. The application was a standard React Native application powered by Apollo Server/Client and GraphQL. I mentored junior engineers in an unofficial capacity. I integrated a number of native mobile SDKs including biometrics.

I carried out feature work on the video player UI for the NOWTV application across multiple TV platforms, using React and Redux. There was a heavy focus on memory and performance due to the connected TV ecosystem. Smooth playback and UI response times were critical metrics.

I worked on a number of features for The Sun website, one of the UK’s highest-traffic news sites. The application was running on a Node.js/Express stack powered by Wordpress and we optimised for performance. I joined the Sun Savers team building a loyalty program application across mobile and web, using React Native and React Native Web to share components between platforms. I integrated with internal and external REST APIs across both projects.

I worked on advertising features for the SkyGo desktop app which was running on Electron, React, Redux stack. This included ad insertion/playback logic, serving region based advertisements, and ad-server SDK integration. I had to comply with various advertising and content requirements across multiple markets.

I worked on a number of client projects including complete rebuilds of MaxFactor.co.uk and SallyHansen.com using vanilla JS, Drupal 7, Node.js and the internal design system framework adhering to the company's conventions.

Part of the team tasked with building the investor platform in React and was the sole developer rebuilding a suite of marketing sites in WordPress. I was solely responsible for stakeholder communication and the deployment and maintenance of the marketing sites.

I maintained over 15 WordPress multisite installations, modifying/building custom themes and building bespoke plugins in AngularJS and React.

I developed custom WordPress themes from scratch for clients ranging from high-traffic news platforms to small brochure websites. I worked closely with the designers and communicated directly with clients to gather requirements.
