I started my career in 2016 in the capital markets industry as an Investment Officer before moving into Risk Management & Compliance in 2022 within the same company. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely across different departments and gain a broader understanding of how regulated financial institutions operate behind the scenes.

My background is mainly in traditional finance, covering areas like risk management, regulatory compliance, portfolio monitoring, and operational processes under the oversight of the Securities Commission Malaysia. Over time, I became increasingly interested in Web3, digital assets, and how blockchain is reshaping the financial industry.

Even though I don’t come directly from a Web3 background, I’m genuinely curious about the space and enjoy learning about the evolving ecosystem, especially where regulation, risk, governance, and innovation intersect. I believe my experience in compliance and risk gives me a solid foundation that can translate well into the digital asset industry.

I hold a degree in Mathematics with Economics, have over 8 years of experience in the UTMC industry, and I’m also a registered UTS Consultant under Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia.
