I’m a former CS/Software Engineering student and accountant/casino cashier looking to get into the indiatry. I’d love to be considered for an opportunity to learn how to program in a professional environment working with production code. Either as a Support Engineer working my way into a Junior Developer role or as a Junior Developer.

I started learning programming in High School with Java and moved on to learn some Python3, some C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and BASH.

I also taught myself how to fix and run a Linux machine with Ubuntu, eventually moving on to Gentoo. My favorite distro continues to be Gentoo despite the challenges associated with installation and maintenance.

In my spare time I like reading on how to program in Rust which is what I’m passionate about and want to work with in my career. I’m hoping to eventually program a text based game in Rust!

I also like to spend time watching Star Trek, my favorite character is Seven of Nine! I enjoy playing video games, either with my partner, or by myself as well. Dota 2 is my jam, as is Risk of Rain 2.
