Business Development Associate

I'm a Web3 business development professional currently working as a BD Associate at Freename, which is a blockchain infrastructure and Web3 domain startup headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland. Since joining, I've been responsible for building and executing the outbound BD function from the ground up, designing multi-channel campaigns across email, LinkedIn, X, and Telegram, targeting 10+ verticals including DeFi protocols, payment platforms, stablecoin issuers, wallets, CEX/DEXs, AI-agent platforms, and Web3 infrastructure companies globally.

I've closed partnerships with a large variety of verticals, managing full end-to-end commercial conversations from prospecting and qualification through to deal structuring and negotiation. Beyond outreach, I've built ICP frameworks, target account lists and messaging strategies that underpin our pipeline, while maintaining CRM records and reporting on performance metrics directly to leadership.


My background is in Financial Computing where I hold a BSc (2:1) from the University of Liverpool, where my dissertation involved building an Algorithmic Trading System in R. I'm also Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals and Bloomberg Market Concepts certified, which gives me a strong foundation for engaging with both the technical and financial sides of the digital asset space as well as traditional finance.

Outside of my day role, I'm building a new platform called web3leads.ai which is an AI-powered outbound and lead generation platform being built specifically for B2B Web3 companies. The platform leverages AI agent automation to help crypto and digital asset companies identify high-value prospects, generate qualified meetings and build scalable BD systems. It's a direct extension of the work I do every day and reflects how deeply I think about the problem of growth in Web3.

I'm now actively looking for my next role in business development. My primary focus is on DeFi and the increasingly exciting intersection between DeFi/TradFi and where on-chain infrastructure is beginning to reshape how the world moves and manages money. I'm particularly drawn to projects working on stablecoins, RWA tokenisation, cross-border settlements and decentralised payments. These are areas that I believe represent some of the most promising opportunities in the Web3 ecosystem

I'm based in the UK but very happy to relocate if needed, particularly to somewhere in the US, which has been a long-standing personal goal of mine. I'm also fully comfortable working remotely across time zones.
