I have been a Ruby on Rails developer for 5 years. My first employer as a professional developer, Safety Provisions, develops and sells safety training courses for mainly the construction industry. I led the IT department, managing multiple WordPress sites while building a Rails site that integrated with a learning platform (TalentLMS) via their API.

Horizon PWR is a solar power startup. I was one of three developers. I wrote and pushed code directly to master on a daily basis. We were creating a custom website to replace multiple third-party tools for the use of HorizonPWR employees and contractors, including sales reps, sales support, and installers. I also took on the role of project manager. We used Rails, Tailwind, and StimulusJS, and hosted our website on Heroku. We used tools like Honeybadger (for error reporting), Hook Relay (to relay webhooks), Pivotal Tracker (for story/task management), FullStory and HotJar (for UX monitoring), and a custom tool we built for obtaining feedback. We integrated with Canvass (neighborhood canvassing app), Aurora (solar design app), and Salesforce.

Most recently, I worked as a Software Engineer for FortyAU, a software consultancy. I worked developing an app for a client to manage the scheduling of surgeons as they worked across many different hospital systems, as well as managing their cases and billing.
