Full Stack & Blockchain Architect • Fintech & Ai
I am Blockchain Consultant / Developer with over 25 years of experience delivering production-grade software across fintech, capital markets, blockchain, and enterprise domains, I offer a rare combination of deep on-chain engineering expertise, cloud infrastructure experience, and a track record of delivery at some of the world's most demanding financial institutions.
I have served as Blockchain Consultant at Deutsche Bank's Innovation Lab in London, where I architected and delivered a Trade Finance platform on Hyperledger Fabric — digitising Letters of Credit, Bills of Lading, and documentary trade workflows across banks, corporates, and logistics counterparties. Before that, I was Senior Consultant and Architect at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and London Clearing House (LCH) — institutions that process trillions in daily transaction volume — where I led technical architecture for capital markets systems and clearing and settlement infrastructure. These environments demand the same attributes any production blockchain system requires: security-first design, architectural rigour, and zero tolerance for failure under load.
On the public chain side, I have built four production EVM smart contract systems from scratch, all deployed to testnet with verified contracts and backed by 73 unit tests:
- ERC-20 Staking Protocol — token issuance, time-locked staking, reward distribution, penalty mechanics, ReentrancyGuard throughout
- NFT Marketplace (ERC-721) — atomic listing and purchase settlement, 2.5% platform fee, listing state machine, 18 tests
- SimpleDEX AMM — Uniswap v2 x*y=k constant product formula, LP token issuance, slippage and deadline protection, 25 tests
- Freelance Escrow — milestone-based ETH payments, arbitrator dispute resolution, 3-day auto-approve window, 18 tests
All contracts are built with Solidity 0.8.25, OpenZeppelin 5.x, Hardhat and Foundry tooling, with CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions and Etherscan verification on every deployment.
My Hyperledger Fabric experience at Deutsche Bank covered:
- Chaincode Development — designed and deployed chaincode in Go on Hyperledger Fabric 1.x and 2.x, encoding trade finance business logic including document verification, multi-party approval workflows, and settlement triggers across correspondent banking chains
- Network Architecture — architected the channel topology and endorsement policy model to enforce data privacy between trade participants — counterparty-specific visibility without exposing sensitive transaction data across the full network
- 1.x to 2.x Upgrade — evaluated the Fabric 2.x upgrade path including decentralised chaincode lifecycle, improved peer governance, and external chaincode launcher — producing an architectural recommendation report for the Innovation Lab
- Integration Layer — designed the off-chain API layer connecting the Fabric network to Deutsche Bank's existing trade finance backend systems, enabling real-time status updates and document state synchronisation
This gives me hands-on depth across both permissioned (Hyperledger Fabric) and permissionless (Ethereum/EVM) blockchain paradigms — a combination that is relevant for any project spanning enterprise integration and public chain deployment.
On the cloud infrastructure side, I have hands-on production experience across the full AWS stack:
- Compute & Networking — EC2, EKS (Kubernetes), VPC, IAP — deploying and scaling containerised workloads in secure network environments
- Data & Storage — RDS (PostgreSQL/Aurora), S3 — relational database design for high-throughput transactional systems
- Security & Secrets — KMS, Secrets Manager — encryption at rest, secrets rotation, and IAM policy design for production systems
- Runtime & Process — Nginx, PM2 — reverse proxy configuration, process supervision, and zero-downtime deployments
My full technical stack also covers:
- Smart Contracts — Solidity, Vyper, Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, upgradeable proxy patterns (Proxy, UUPS, Beacon)
- Security — Slither, MythX, Echidna static and dynamic analysis, CEI pattern, multi-sig, timelocks, role-based access
- Backend — Node.js, Express, TypeScript, REST APIs, queue-based async workflows
- Frontend — React, Wagmi v2, Viem, MetaMask and WalletConnect integration
- Databases — PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL
- AI Integration — ChatGPT API, Claude API — integrated into production platforms
I build for production, not prototypes. I take architectural decisions with their long-term consequences in mind, and I write code I am prepared to be accountable for in a live environment. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience can contribute directly to your project.
Yours sincerely,
