I developed a complete Inventory Management System using the MERN stack, handling both frontend and backend. The system includes role-based access where employees can request items, HODs approve/reject orders, and admins manage inventory by issuing and tracking items. It features JWT authentication, a multi-level approval process, real-time order status updates, and purchase limits (e.g., max 5 pens per month). Admins can add, edit, or remove items, and employees can return issued items. The backend uses Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and custom API authentication (API keys, rate limiting), while the frontend is built with React, Tailwind CSS, and integrates Axios for API calls. The system ensures efficient inventory tracking, approval workflows, and stock control.
